Black hole to breakout: 3D GRMHD simulations of collapsar jets reveal a wide range of transients, Gottlieb et al. (2022)
If the magnetic field on the black hole horizon is sufficiently strong to power Blandford-Znajek jet (Blandford & Znajek 1977) that can overcome the accretion power, a Poynting flux dominated jet is launched. Infalling material may also cause the accretion disk to tilt.
